Dead Body Repatriation of Bangladeshi National

To repatriate the dead body of a Bangladeshi national the following documents are required:

  • The passport and visa copy of the deceased person.
  • Photocopy of death certificate issued by the concerned hospital along with an English translated copy.
  • Photocopy of death certificate issued by the concerned district office along with an English translated copy.
  • Photocopy of the national identity card of the recipient of the dead body.
  • A duly completed application ( click here for the form) by the next of kin (spouse or children) of the deceased for repatriation of the dead body in Bangladesh.
  • A marriage certificate or birth certificate must be provided as evidence of the applicant's relationship with the deceased. If the applicant's passport does not contain the deceased's name as proof of relationship.
